National Geographic to Provide Full Coverage of the Eclipse

Are you ready for the eclipse? I live in Oregon, and there's been so much news about the upcoming crowds for the eclipse, I'm not sure what I'm more interested in at this point - traffic jam news or the eclipse! Anyways, in case you don't live near the path of totality or can't make it down there (like me), than you will be happy to know that National Geographic has planned on full coverage for the eclipse.

They are offering a full day of coverage from scientists on the ground as the eclipse happens. There is also live coast to coast coverage as well. Two National Geographic Explorers will be hosting a live digital broadcast from the Airbnb Geodesic Dome in Terrebonne, Oregon. The two explorers are internationally recognized scholar and astrophysicist  Dr. Jedidah Isler and acclaimed National Geographic photographer and science journalist Babak Tafreshi who will be discussing the science behind the eclipse and answering viewers' questions. Experts will be stationed across the path of totality as the eclipse crosses the United States.

You can check it out on Facebook live, Twitter via Periscope, and YouTube starting 10pm eastern on August 20th and 9:30am Pacific Time on August 21st.

Visit the National Geogrpahic Eclipse page to check out live coverage.

Also be sure to check out the path of totality on their eclipse map.

What are you planning on doing for the eclipse? Are you visiting anywhere that is in the path of totality?
