Crazy Richards Peanut Butter Review & Giveaway

Image
I absolutely love peanut butter. Really, I mean peanut butter is such a huge part of my diet. And you know, I really appreciate when peanut butter has simple ingredients. Peanuts. Salt. And that's it. I don't like added oils and I'm not TOO big of a fan of flavored peanut butters. Although I'd never turn down chocolate peanut butter (if I found the right blend!). Anyways, I had the chance to try out some peanut butter by a company called, "Crazy Richards." Crazy Richard's Peanut Butter has been around a while. It was formed and combined by two Richards about 30 years ago and was recently passed along to the newest generation. Well, I got the chance to try out their peanut butter - creamy and crunchy. I loved it. Here's a weird thing I love with peanut butter - whole milk vanilla Greek yogurt with blueberries! Sure people put peanut butter in smoothies, but I scoop out some of my favorite vanilla greek yogurt into a cup and put it in

My Gluten-Free Journey and Finding Really Good Bread [Gluten Free Coupon Inside!]

Image
Having bread when you are eating gluten-free is a tough battle. I was lucky enough to get a variety of bread to review from Gluten Free Things and I can't wait to share my experience with you. More on that later though!  I started going gluten-free a few years ago. I initially did it to support my mom who had realized she had a wheat and gluten allergy. Then when I avoided gluten with her, I realized some issues I had been battling went away. And voila! My gluten-free journey began. The tough part about being gluten-free is that you want to try and find foods that agree with your system. It can be hard too. Things I never thought had gluten - do. Like some dressings, some spice blends, even some mustards! So shopping has become a careful experience. I read ingredients labels so closely now and google search my heart out when I am suspicious of a product having wheat or gluten. The funny thing is though, I really miss bread. Like bread, bagels, rolls. In fa

Lotus Foods Rice Review and Giveaway

Image
I tend to eat quite a bit of rice in my diet. First, because it's a healthy grain. Plus, I'm also gluten-free and it's a good grain for me to have that won't negatively impact my body. So I usually purchase one particular type of rice brand, so I was really eager for the chance to try out a new kind. I tried out rice by Lotus Foods. You may have seen them in the store or heard of them before!  What makes Lotus Foods different? Well they work towards improving the lives of the farmers they work with first of all. They use what is called a "System of Rice Intensification." It's a way of allowing farms to "double and triple their yields while using 80-90% less seed, 50% less water, less or no chemical inputs." Basically, more rice, less water. So I tend to be a visual learner, so if you want to know more about what this means, watch this really short video below: They also partner with small scale farmers, which I think

I listened to the CD and I am SUCH a huge fan of the original animated version that I almost couldn't get beyond it to enjoy the CD. However, it did make me curious enough to want to see the movie! Have you seen it? Did you enjoy it as much as the animated version? I appreciated the remade version of Beauty and the Beast with Ariana Grande and John Legend. Didn't have the same magic as the original but it was a lovely version. But like I said, I'm such a die hard fan of the original so I listened to it with

5 Recipes Made with Gluten-Free Bagels

Image
When I think of bagels, I don't usually think of things I can make with them outside of my usual go to stuff, like cheese melts, avocado toast and toasted bagel and peanut butter.  But there are some recipes that take bagels to the next level and I came across some created by "The Greater Knead" bagel company and I absolutely had to share these with you. And I had the chance to try out some of their bagels, but more on that later. First, the tasty bagel goodness. The Bagel Crumble. To make this, you take their chocolate bagel (oh yes, I said chocolate), a little oil, and cinnamon and some honey. And from there you chop it up and bake it and cover it with tastiness and put it over ice cream. Just check out this recipe and you'll see why you want it.  http://www.thegreaterknead.com/recipe/free-from-bagel-crumble/ French Toast Bites. If there is anyone out there reading this that remembers how yummy french toast was pre-gluten-free days,
